Corona Work Protection at REICH-Kupplungen Evaluated as Exemplary
Dipl.-Ing. Herwarth Reich GmbH takes responsibility seriously – be it for its products or the health of its employees. By following a responsible approach to these issues, this company also helps to protect society in times of the pandemic.
'Health takes precedence over economic considerations, which is why we at REICH-Kupplungen protect ourselves and see it as a matter of course to contribute with our behaviour to the well-being of the citizens in Bochum and of society as a whole, emphasises Christian Reich, Managing Director at Dipl.-Ing. Herwarth Reich GmbH.
Societal challenges such as climate change, scarcity of resources and last but not least the existing corona pandemic – all these are topics which REICH-Kupplungen is tackling actively. REICH-Kupplungen thus focuses on in-house research and development with the intention of creating more and more sustainable material and production alternatives in the future. And the company, while the SARS-CoV-2 issue obviously lies in the hands of other researchers, meticulously and comprehensively implements all measures required pursuant to the Infection Protection Act (IfSG) Section 28 b and the Health and Safety at Work Act in conjunction with the Corona and SARS-CoV-2 Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
An unannounced inspection in January by the District Government of Arnsberg confirms that REICH-Kupplungen has implemented the measures to protect its employees against SARS-CoV-2 infections in an exemplary manner. Especially the consistently applied access rules were met with great approval. Employees must have a 3G proof at the workplace and all visitors are requested to provide a negative test proof irrespective of their 3G status before entering the company's buildings. Needless to say that this procedure is recorded properly. Face-to-face workplace contacts are reduced by giving employees the option to work from home as far as possible, which is accepted by the majority. The limitation of the number of persons on the basis of spatial capacities and the intensive use of video conferences were positively evaluated as well. The in-house corona test offer for employees and visitors and the provision and wearing of masks were also subject of the inspection, as was the completely existing hygiene concept that is lived in the daily work routine.
'We are delighted with the positive evaluation by the District Government of Arnsberg. As a company with tradition, we are aware of our responsibility, whether locally in Bochum or internationally as a globally operating coupling expert, and are happy to make our contribution to fight the pandemic', says Christian Reich.
